What is the Pre-Order Scheme (POS)?
Our Pre-Order Scheme (POS) is designed to help customers enjoy better value on selected furniture collections. Certain products are offered as Pre-Order items and may not be held in stock at our local warehouse at the time of purchase. These items are specially arranged through our international supply network and therefore require additional lead time before dispatch.
Estimated lead times for Pre-Order items are generally between 8–12 weeks, depending on production schedules, shipping availability, customs clearance, and local delivery arrangements.
By choosing Pre-Order products, customers can access a wider range of designs and enjoy competitive pricing on quality furniture pieces.
How Would POS to Save on Your Budget?
Our POS is supported by Harbour Furniture’s factory-direct supply chain and international sourcing network. Once your order is placed online or in-store, your items are scheduled into upcoming shipments directly from our manufacturing partners and overseas warehouses.
Because these products are supplied specifically for customer orders, they do not incur long-term local warehousing and storage costs. This allows us to pass those savings directly on to our customers through more affordable pricing.
Pre-ordering is a great way to secure your preferred furniture pieces ahead of arrival while enjoying excellent value on stylish, quality furniture.
Delivery Timeframe
If your order includes one or more Pre-Order items, the estimated delivery timeframe for the entire order will generally follow the latest Pre-Order arrival estimate unless otherwise arranged.
Please note that all delivery timeframes are estimates only and may occasionally be affected by factors outside our control, including shipping delays, port congestion, customs processing, weather events, or supplier-related delays.
Harbour Furniture will make reasonable efforts to keep customers updated regarding any significant changes to estimated arrival dates.
Orders with Both In-stock and Pre-Order Items
Orders containing both in-stock and Pre-Order items will normally be shipped together once all items become available.
If you would prefer your in-stock items to be dispatched earlier, please contact our customer service team to discuss split delivery options. Additional delivery charges may apply, as standard shipping quotations are based on a single delivery shipment only.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges quoted at checkout are based on one standard delivery shipment.
Where customers request multiple deliveries, split shipments, or separate dispatch dates, additional freight charges may apply. In some situations, separate orders may be recommended to avoid delays or additional handling requirements.
Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations
Due to the special-order nature of Pre-Order items, orders placed under the Pre Order Special Program are generally not eligible for return, exchange, or cancellation for change-of-mind reasons, personal preference changes, or changing circumstances after purchase.
However, nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable consumer protection laws.
If a product is found to be faulty, damaged, or not of acceptable quality, Harbour Furniture will work with you to provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Faulty or Damaged Items
Please inspect your order carefully upon delivery. If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Harbour Furniture within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photos of the issue so we can assess the situation promptly.
Once reviewed, we will work with you to arrange an appropriate resolution, which may include repair, replacement, parts supply, or another suitable remedy depending on the nature of the issue.
Please retain all original packaging where possible until the matter has been resolved.
